Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 medium-size white onion, finely chopped
  • 2 lbs lamb shoulder, cut into 2-inch cubes
  • 1 bottle of Rupen's Masala Curry Sauce
  • 4 cups chicken stock
  • 2 carrots, peeled and cubed
  • 1 cup diced potato
  • 1 cup diced turnips, peeled and cubed
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup red wine

Instructions

In a large pot, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
Add the lamb cubes to the pot and brown them on all sides for about 5-7 minutes.
Pour in the entire bottle of Rupen's Masala Curry Sauce, stirring well to coat the lamb in the flavorful sauce.
Add the chicken stock and the red wine to the pot. Stir the ingredients together.
Season with salt to taste, keeping in mind that the curry sauce already contains some spices.
Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover the pot and let it simmer for 1.5 hours, or until the lamb becomes tender.
Occasionally check the stew, stirring and adjusting the seasoning if needed.
Once the lamb is tender, add the vegetables, stir, cover and cook until the vegetables are cooked through.
Serve the goulash hot, either on its own or over a bed of rice or noodles, and enjoy the rich and aromatic flavors infused by Rupen's Masala Curry Sauce.
