These Kidney Bean Sliders Are Easy To Make

It can be challenging to make a delicious vegetarian plant-based appetizer for your vegan and vegetarian friends. However, these sliders are easy to make and can be made on a student budget :)

I love making these sliders, especially when I can serve these sliders with store-bought chutneys and a simple side salad. You can even make a thicker, bigger burger patty or use slider buns and serve these.

You can make these weeks in advance and freeze them. You can then thaw and shallow fry these patties right before your party.
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups cooked red kidney beans
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 Tablespoon ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
1/2 teaspoon ground hot paprika
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
1 cup Panko bread crumbs
4 Tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
In a medium-size mixing bowl, add beans, salt, spices, and cilantro. Mash with a potato masher.
Add bread crumbs and use your hands to mix the bread crumbs with the bean mixture. Ensure that the beans and bread crumbs have thoroughly combined.
Make 12 small sliders and set them aside.
In a non-stick frying pan over medium heat, add oil.
When the oil is hot, place six sliders on the frying pan and cook for 3 minutes. Flip and cook for additional three minutes.
Remove using a slotted spoon and place on paper towels so the paper towel can absorb that excess oil.
Serve with store-bought chutneys and a simple salad.
