Chili Brownies

My friend (she does not want me to share their name) makes the best brownies. I love them, and I do not make them because I may eat them all, haha, seriously, they are so good!

This brownie recipe makes a quarter-sheet (9 by 13 inch cookie sheet).

Serves: 12 large pieces

Ingredients

8 oz lb melted unsalted butter

8 oz lb melted chocolate

4 eggs

1 cup white sugar

1 cup brown sugar (PACK BROWN SUGAR)

1 cup AP flour

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (to make chili brownies)

Method

Add butter (FIRST) and then chocolate chips to a bain marie. Melt until chocolate is just melted. Set aside.

Meanwhile, beat eggs with sugar.

Pour chocolate mixture with egg mixture. Mix.

Add AP flour and vanilla extract. Fold. DO NOT FOLD TOO MUCH OR ELSE GLUTEN WILL RELEASE.

Take a 13” by 9” cookie sheet. Line it with parchment.

Pour brownie batter on the cookie sheet and spread.

Bake at 350 F. You will see cracks starting to form on top of brownies, and that is when it is done. This should take about 25 minutes. DO NOT OVER BAKE, you can even use a toothpick to ensure it comes out clean.
